The Planika Cabo Lunara fireplace has been tested for outdoor use by the manufacturer but not in UK weather conditions. However, we do not recommend that the fireplace is used outdoor all year round because of e.g., freezing temperatures and bad weather conditions. Our recommendation therefore is that the Planika Cabo Lunara should be used only under covered terraces with the ability of moving the fireplace, protecting it and keeping it dry and frost free.

The Capo Lunara is a freestanding automatic bioethanol fireplace that has been developed for outdoor use. All the electronic components in the fireplace are therefore waterproof sealed so the fireplace can resist rain and moisture.

The fireplace is constructed with Consentino fibercement plates. Fibercement has a nice dull finish on the surface which at the same time is resistant to scratches and heat.

The Cabo Lunara burner is based on the patended BEV technology which evaporates the bioethanol before it is ignited. There is never direct contact between the bioethanol in the fuel tank and the flames of the fireplace. This also allows you to manage the flames from the fireplace in six levels.

The fireplace can be controlled by either remote control, the built-in control panel or through an app on your mobile or tablet.

When the Cabo burner needs a refill with bioethanol it is easily done by the push of a button. The included automatic fuel pump just needs to be connected to the burner, press the button and then it automatically stops when the burner is full. A full refill of 5 liters of bioethanol provides approximately up to 8 hours of burn time depending of the flame level.

Accessories

Planika Fires does not recommend using third-party decorative logs or stones with their bioethanol fireplaces, as this can cause overheating and damage internal components. Always use accessories approved by Planika for safety and optimal performance.
