HEATSTRIP Max 3600

HEATSTRIP Max 3600 is a powerful 3600 W electric infrared patio heater designed for demanding outdoor areas and protected indoor spaces. Instead of primarily heating the surrounding air, radiant infrared heat is directed towards people and surfaces within the heater's coverage area. This makes the Max particularly suitable for exposed patios, terraces and other areas where conventional heating can be less effective.

The high-temperature heating element uses Incoloy technology and produces a low glow during operation. The anodised alloy housing provides corrosion resistance, and the heater has an IPX5 rating, making it suitable for permanent outdoor installation.

Heating area

The amount of space the HEATSTRIP Max 3600 can cover depends on how exposed the area is. When mounted directly overhead, the manufacturer's guidance is approximately 10 m² in an exposed outdoor area, 18 m² in an enclosed outdoor area and up to 29 m² in a protected indoor area. The effective heating area can be reduced when the heater is wall-mounted or installed in particularly exposed conditions.

Installation

HEATSTRIP Max 3600 can be mounted directly to a ceiling or angled downwards from a wall using the supplied mounting brackets. The standard brackets allow either straight or angled installation, so the radiant heat can be directed towards the area where it is needed.

The heater should be installed at a minimum height of 2.1 metres. The manufacturer currently recommends an ideal mounting height of approximately 2.4 to 2.8 metres, with a maximum mounting height of 3.2 metres. Mounting height has a direct impact on heating performance. For higher ceilings, optional suspension solutions or extension poles can be used to position the heater closer to the area being heated.

The 3600 W model is supplied with a 1 metre lead but no plug and must be hardwired by a licensed electrician.

Operation and optional control

The standard HEATSTRIP Max 3600 does not have an integrated remote control. When hardwired, it can be combined with a compatible HEATSTRIP controller for additional control. The optional TT-MTM wall-mounted controller provides on/off operation, high, medium and low heat settings and timer settings of 1, 2 or 4 hours. The controller and its remote control are optional accessories and are not included with the heater.
